okay, this one's definitely my favourite of the for pics. those wings look SO great! the batwings combined with the dark feathers... the way his hands are tied down and the cross that he's holding in his hands... and the blood running down from his eye and his stomach... I can see why you are saying that the symbolism nearly broke you... I think I could never draw something like that.
I always loved hakkai's role in sayuki. he was always suffering and hiding it behind a friendly mask. this drawing totally fits for him. I really just love it!

Each of the pieces in this series were so beautiful I hate to favorite them all. Each was so unique and captured the nature of the characters so perfectly that I couldn’t help but love them.

Hakkai is my favorite member of Saiyuki so I had to comment on him first. The imagery is just so amazing. You’ve summed up pain and suffering of Hakkai’s entire back story in one picture. The bleeding of his old wounds and Kanan cross clutched in his hand is almost agonizing to look at as his and looks to the sky. No matter how happy he appear outwardly this is how I feel Hakkai really looks on the inside.

The detail in individuality of the wings is something to behold on it’s own. You way of sowing what Hakkai is trough a pair of bird like bad wings just blew me away! Not human anymore but still longing not to be a youki.

This is my favorite Saiyuki fan art ever! With it’s fantastic symbolism, gorgeous detail, and entrancing emotion there in no comparing it to any other I’ve seen

Every single one of the pictures in this series are amazing. I love all of them <3. The symbolism and thought you put into each one just blows me away. This one, of course, is heavy on the angst... just like Hakkai. The art as well as the story it tells is detailed and amazing. Wow. You've done an awesome job.
